1.0 INTRODUCTION
1.1 THE BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY
The best way
to deal with a problem is to first of all understand the issues involved. In
the same way in our contempt to propose a role of television on cultural
promotion. We need also to break the components into manageable parts and this
deals with them. The topic assigned in this project is “television as a means
of cultural promotion in our indigenous
environment.”
Two questions
readily comes to mind:
i. What is Television?
ii. What
do we mean by cultural promotion in our indigenous
environment?
The
relationship between television and culture is integral and dynamic.
Television is
merely neutral technical strimming but is shaped by and itself shape the
culture. New television technology constantly arises and influence cultural
life. Television denomination of domestic life begins at 1950’s films creation

sound rather simplicity to try to define television: after all, we know that
television is an electronic device that belongs to informational, educational
and entertainment programmes.

television programming teach us something these days. What people think about

of the world.
1.2 STATEMENT OF RESEARCH
PROBLEM
Recently,
technology capability realized that television has caused worry in the minds of
some nations with satellite television sent from direct broadcast would remain
inside national boundaries. When split over does occur, it can easily threaten a nation’s culture, integrity or even
security. Thereby, creating cultural integration television communal of one
consumer oriented societies too positively.
